Bridgeport FFA Ag. Mechanics
Bridgeport Ag. Mechanics students are learning skills that help transition into industry careers or prepare for the next step of secondary learning. Students are learning how to research, develop plans, fabricate different projects and become leaders through presentation. Projects that have been constructed through the Bridgeport Facility are utility trailers, Hog Traps, Chick Coop, Wood Benches, Picnic tables, plant stands, tool boxes and many more. Some of our Ag. Mechanics students participate in competitions where they exhibit their projects Ag. Mechanics show. The students must create a plan, complete the project, develop a portfolio, present to a panel of judges and present to the general public. The competition does not only help students develop skills for life, it also allows students to understand time management, responsibility, public speaking, creativity, and team work. If you have an idea for a project, let us know. Some of our students have the drive to complete the project but funds maybe limited. My email is dshannon@bridgeportisd.net
